It’s not unusual for people to share their unpleasant experiences with law enforcement. But one man has caught the attention of many for his surprising response to a cop during a traffic stop.
Earlier this month, Randell Minott was pulled over while visiting Kansas City, Missouri on business. When one of the officers allegedly drew a gun to address his failure to use a turn signal, Minott whipped out his phone to scold the policeman on video after the weapon was returned to its holster.
“You came to the car with your gun out. For what?” he asked the policeman. “There’s nothing illegal about this car or about me, but I got a gun drawn on me.”
As Minott ranted on camera for three minutes, the cop, who appeared to have one hand on his gun holster and the other over his badge, only said “ok” and nodded occasionally.

The New Jersey-native, a husband and father of two with one on the way, posted the video, which has strong language, on Facebook, and it has since gone viral. It's been viewed nearly 90,000 times and shared more than 1,000.
"I know some people were saying I shut him down, but it wasn't like I was trying to shut him down. I was trying to make a point," Minott told Blavity. "When I started recording, the more and more I talked, I just kept getting even more pissed off."
Minott said the officers eventually gave him a ticket for a moving violation and switching lanes without using a signal and that he doesn’t believe all cops are bad.
“It's guys like him who make the relationship hard between some cops and the black community,” Minott said. “He knows the dangers of his job and I get that, but that doesn't mean he can put my life in danger."
