The company announced the news earlier this week in a series of tweets, revealing it's working on a way for users to switch between timelines with the "most relevant" tweets and the latest tweets.

In the meantime, you can shut off the “show the best tweets first” option by going into the “content” section in your settings. It will allow you to only see posts from folks you follow instead of recommended ones from people you don’t follow or the “in case you missed it” tweets.

Twitter eventually wants to create an easier way for users to return to a chronological feed and will be administering a few tests in the coming weeks.

The brand was originally designed to display tweets in reverse chronological order, but it introduced a default algorithmic model in early 2016. However, developers said they “heard feedback from people who at times prefer to see the most recent Tweets” and are “working on new ways to give you more control over your timeline.”
