Earlier this week, tabloids, including Page Six and Us Weekly reported the artist, 34, was romantically linked to the president’s son while competing on a season of “Celebrity Apprentice” in 2011. Last week, Trump's wife, Vanessa, filed divorce papers.

In O’Day’s latest track, she discusses a painful end to a relationship, singing, “I hate me for, I hate me for, hate you for letting our love die.” Want to learn more about the songstress? Here are five things you should know.

She gravitated to the arts at an early age.

The San Francisco-native began performing at age 4. During her childhood, she was the lead in several musical productions, including “The Wizard of Oz,” “Grease,” and “Annie.”

She once said, "I'd say I've been doing it since I came out of the womb," according to a Broadway.com article.

In 2004, she was discovered by Diddy.

She auditioned for Diddy’s new girl group on MTV’s “Making the Band 3.” She beat out thousands of women vying for a spot in the five-member group, which became known as Danity Kane.

Their first and second albums peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, spawning hits, including "Show Stopper" and "Damaged." Although she was fired in 2008, the group reunited in 2013 before disbanding again.

She appeared on several reality shows and on Broadway.

In 2008, she snagged the role of Amber Von Tussle in the musical "Hairspray," calling it a dream, according to Broadway.com.

After launching a solo career, she starred in Oxygen’s “All About Aubrey” in 2011. She was also a contestant on” The Celebrity Apprentice 5.” She competed on “Celebrity Big Brother” as well.

O’Day reunited with an old band member to form a new group.

After Danity Kane's second split, O'Day and fellow member Shannon Bex reemerged as a pop duo. They called themselves "Dumblonde." In 2015, they released their self-entitled album, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard U.S Heatseekers Chart.

Law was her second career choice.

She graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She was headed to law school when she learned about “Making the Band 3.”

"I come from a family of attorneys and am very passionate about the law and politics. So [law] was like second nature to me. But performing is what I was meant to do," she told Broadway.com.
