‘Star’
Lee Daniels' Fox musical drama is now filming its second season. The series tells the story of a girl named Star (Jude Demorest) who travels to Atlanta with her sister Simone (Brittany O'Grady) and spoiled rich girl Alexandra (Ryan Destiny) to try to become famous as a girl group. Queen Latifah portrays Star and Simone's godmother.
What are they looking for?
The following roles are being cast:
- Midtown label employees – men and women of any ethnicity who can portray hip urban workers in their 20s
- Barista – men and women of any ethnicity who can portray coffee shop baristas in their 20s to 30s. Experience is preferred but not required.
- Cleaning lady – featured role for women in their 30s to 50s who can portray a Hispanic/African-American hotel cleaning lady
- Hotel guests – men and women of any ethnicity to portray high-end hotel guests in their 30s to 50s
- Production assistant – men and women of any ethnicity who can portray a production assistant to a crew/office
- Wedding guests – men and women of any ethnicity who can portray wedding guests in their 20s to 40s
- Neighbors w/cars – men and women of any ethnicity who can portray neighbors, even if you've previously portrayed a neighbor in this movie
- Community members – men and women of any ethnicity of any ethnicity who can portray wedding guests in their 30s and 40s
- Salon customers – women of any ethnicity who are in their 30s to 60s to portray salon customers. You can still apply if you've previously been a salon customer in this movie.

When are they filming?
Filming is in Atlanta on the following dates for the following roles:
- Midtown label employees – Jan. 3-4, 8 and 10 (You don't need to be available for all days).
- Barista – Jan 4
- Cleaning lady – Jan. 5
- Hotel guests – Jan. 5
- Production assistant – Jan. 8
- Wedding guests – Jan. 9
- Neighbors with cars – Jan. 9
- Community members – Jan. 10 and 12
- Salon customers – Jan. 11-12
How much does it pay?
All roles pay $68 for eight hours. Neighbors with cars also receive a $25 car bump.
