Now casting: Donald Glover’s ‘Atlanta’ seeking several roles

Are you ready to make your mark on Atlanta’s film and TV industry? Are you the next Tyler Perry? ATL is in need of young stars. Check out the Peach City’s latest casting call for your chance at fame.

The critically acclaimed FX series tells the story of two cousins involved in the Atlanta rap scene. It’s created by and stars Stone Mountain native Donald Glover, who won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance. The series also won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series Comedy or Musical.

What are they looking for?

The following roles are being filled:

Young travelers: men and women who are over 18 but look younger (Subject: UNACCOMPANIED)

European travelers: men and women, age 18 to 50s, who appear to be of European ethnicity (Subject: JETSETTER)

Flight attendants: women age 18 to 30s with real flight attendant experience (Subject: TAKE OFF)

Neighbors in a college community: men and women age 18 to early 30s (Subject: COLLEGIATE)

Cars: men and women age 18 to early 30s are needed to work with their cars (Subject: PASSING)

Partying college students: trendy, attractive Caucasian and African-Americans, age 18 to early 30s (Subject: RED SOLO CUP)

Police officers: men and women in their 20s to early 40s, any ethnicity, with an athletic/tough appearance (Subject: MIRANDA)

Jewish men – authentic Hasidic Jews or other males that can be made to appear as Hasidic Jews. (Subject: SHALOM)

When are they filming?

Filming will be on the following dates for the following roles:

  • Young travelers – Nov. 30
  • Neighbors in a college community and cars – Dec. 1
  • Partying college students and police officers – Dec. 2
  • European travelers and flight attendants – Dec. 5
  • Jewish men – Dec. 6

How much does it pay?

Pay is $64 for eight hours for all roles except Jewish men, who receive $125 for eight hours. Cars will get a $25 bump.

How do I submit?

Send an e-mail to with the subject line of the role you’re submitting for. include three well-lit, recent photos. Also submit your name, age, height, weight, current phone number and any applicable experience. If you’re applying for the Jewish men role and have payot curls (Hasidic tendrils) or long hair that can be styled as such, and a beard, include pictures that show this.
