The body of an infant girl was found in an English gorge Thursday, not far from where the body of her mother was found after the mother mysteriously walked out of a nearby hospital.
According to the BBC, the body of the mother, Charlotte Bevan, was found in Avon Gorge in Bristol Thursday. Hours later the body of her baby, Zaani, was discovered by searchers.
The new mother went missing Tuesday after walking out of St. Michael’s Hospital in Bristol. Video footage shows she was wearing only hospital slippers and Zaani, who was four days old, was wrapped in blankets.
According to SkyNews, police say they are confident the body of the infant that was discovered Thursday is Bevan's baby daughter.
The BBC reports that Charlotte Bevan’s body was discovered by a member of the public who spotted hospital slippers near the gorge.
SkyNews tweeted that the mother of Charlotte Bevan said Thursday "my beautiful daughter and granddaughter are now at peace."
