Since February, fans of the classic cookie brand Oreos and hip-hop fashion of Supreme have wanted to take a bite out of the brand’s new cookie.

Thursday, the Supreme X Oreo cookies launched on Supreme’s website and sold out quickly. The red chocolate wafer sandwich cookies, which are double-stuffed, will be sold three cookies per pack for $3 – without taxes or shipping.

The New York-based brand explained on its website that all cookies would be sold online for now due to the coronavirus outbreak. The brand has temporarily closed stores in the U.S., United Kingdom and France.

“The online store will remain open,” reads the message. “Next week’s release will be online only. Shipping fees will be waived on all orders over $150 in the U.S. and E.U.”

The price tag of the cookies has been a topic of discussion since they were announced last month. Many predictions set the price at $8 per pack, but the $3 price tag is much more forgiving. Still, the average pack of 30 Double Stuf Oreos comes in at about $4.

Late last month, the cookies were being auctioned on eBay for as much as $20,000 per pack. Though the site has sold out, Supreme Oreos were still available on eBay Thursday afternoon for various auction prices. Whatever the cost, the cookie launch was celebrated by cookie lovers across Twitter on Thursday. Some even joked that they hoped their cookies wouldn't become snagged as quarantine snacks in isolation.

Some voted against the cookies due to the extra costs associated with the online purchase.
