On Aug. 14, 2023, a Fulton County grand jury charged Donald Trump and 18 of his allies with trying to subvert Georgia’s 2020 election.

The 41-count indictment accused the former president of heading up a criminal enterprise in an attempt to cling to power after losing to Democrat Joe Biden. The charges against Trump and his supporters included racketeering and other felonies.
