Michael Vithoulkas captured video of the moment moment and posted it to his Instagram page.

"Lightning storm ironically hitting the #Trump building on #supertuesday," read the caption.

Vithoulkas told the Boston Globe the lightning struck around 10:45 p.m, 45 minutes after Trump was declared the winner of Illinois' primary.

"There was a lot of lightning in the sky, but that was the only building that got hit that I saw," he told the newspaper.

Commenters had their own theories on what the strike meant.

"That means God is not playing do not vote for Donald Trump," wrote skittlez30.

User gerardi212 commented, "#Makinglightninggreatagain."

Many speculated over whether the video was just too good to be true, but Vithoulkas says it's real.

"There were definitely people who commented on it thinking it was fake, but it's 100 percent real," he told the Boston Globe.
