If you’ve missed July’s hot, dry weather, then Wednesday and Thursday are for you.
With highs in the low and mid-90s predicted, it’ll feel more like the middle of summer in North Georgia, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz.
“We’ve dried out and we are entering a dry period and hot period that will last several days,” he said.

Wednesday is off to a warm and muggy start with temperatures in the low and mid-70s and humidity at 94%. Patches of fog are hanging over parts of metro Atlanta, but will clear out by 10 a.m., according to Channel 2.
“And then partly cloudy at noon, 85, then mostly sunny this afternoon,” Nitz said. “We get to 90″ by 4 p.m. in Atlanta.
In Eatonton and other areas south of the metro area, temperatures could get as high as 94 degrees with a heat index in the triple digits.
As an added bonus, it’ll be dry. The chance of precipitation is only 10%.
Thursday will be hotter still, Nitz said. The latest forecast calls for sunny skies and a high of 94 degrees.

Much like the weather, conditions are nice on metro Atlanta’s interstates, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center. For the moment, there are no trouble spots or hangups.
