Water main break closes portion of Cherokee County road

A water main break in Cherokee County is expected to cause traffic delays for several hours today.
Only one lane of East Cherokee Drive will be open in the area of Tripp Road, near Woodstock, while crews repair the break, Lt. Jay Baker with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said.
The repairs are expected to continue through the afternoon, Baker said.
Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes, if possible.
