We’ve been lucky weather-wise, metro Atlanta.

Aside from clouds and light sprinkles, that luck won’t run out anytime soon, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“Looks like this mild weather’s going to last here right on through the next week or so approximately,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

Temperatures were two degrees shy of the record for this day, set in 1929, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures just before 10 p.m. were 61 degrees in Atlanta, 45 in Blairsville and 55 in Griffin.

Rain, however, could dampen the good times.

Showers are expected to move into northwest Georgia during the day Thursday and hit metro areas Thursday night, Nitz said.

Rain chances are at 80 percent Thursday, Nitz said.
