A woman has died as a result of Monday’s 11-vehicle crash in Gainesville.

Nicole Rocafort, 24, of Cumming, died Wednesday from injuries she received in the accident that sent nine people to the hospital, Gainesville police said.

Rocafort was stopped at a traffic signal at Queen City Parkway and West Ridge Road when an 18-wheeler heading north on Queen City slammed into her vehicle and another simultaneously, according to a police incident report.

The impact of the crash sent Rocafort’s car crashing into another one. It flipped multiple times and landed on another car, according to the report.

At the same time, the crash between the truck and the other vehicle it hit caused another chain-reaction involving six vehicles.

Police Cpl. Jessica Van said fog was a factor in the accident, which happened about 8 a.m. At the time, metro Atlanta was under a dense fog advisory and visibility was less than a mile.

The injured were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, according to police.

In other news:

It was all captured on surveillance video.
