A wreck that ended with an overturned car blocked I-75 South travel in Atlanta on Monday afternoon for more than half an hour.

The incident happened a little after 4 p.m. and caused all southbound lanes on I-75 past Northside Drive to be blocked, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center. All lanes reopened about 4:45 p.m.

However, lengthy delays remain, and drivers are recommended to use Northside Drive as an alternate.

The Georgia Department of Transportation said one vehicle was involved in the accident. Atlanta Fire Rescue tweeted that no one was entrapped in the vehicle.
