Traffic delays have cleared after two incidents on I-85 led to heavy backups early Wednesday.

An overturned tractor-trailer blocked most lanes north of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and led to delays into downtown Atlanta for more than two hours, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

The big rig was carrying about 4,000 pounds of wood, the Traffic Center reported.

Lanes reopened just before 8:15 a.m., the Traffic Center reported.

That wasn’t the only incident on I-85.

A garbage truck fire at North Druid Hills Road blocked two of six southbound lanes in DeKalb County.

By 9:45 a.m., that crash had cleared as well, the Traffic Center reported.
