A man was killed Wednesday afternoon when two vehicles wrecked on Ga. 316 in Lawrenceville, police said.
Officers were dispatched to a collision in the eastbound lanes near the Duluth Highway underpass about 1:15 p.m.
Police said the two were traveling in the same direction when they made contact with each other, causing one car to leave the roadway and overturn. The car’s driver, who has not been identified, was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, where he died.
No charges are pending, police said.
The wreck closed the road for nearly three hours as officers investigated. It was reopened shortly after 4 p.m.
