The Georgia Department of Transportation will close up to four lanes of I-85 South near Ga. 400 all weekend, likely making for teeth-gritting delays, officials said in a press release late Thursday afternoon.

The work will occur on I-85 southbound, from a half-mile north of Clairmont Road to North Druid Hills Road. Four of the six lanes will be closed between midnight and 7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, and from midnight to 5 a.m. Monday.

Triple-lane closures will be in effect during the daytime hours.

All lanes will be reopened by 5 a.m. Monday.

Crews will close the lanes so they can replace overhead signs for the I-85/ Ga. 400 interchange.
