Gas leak closes section of Piedmont Road in Buckhead

All lanes of Piedmont Road in Buckhead have reopened following a gas leak, Atlanta police said.

Lanes between Peachtree and Lenox roads were closed at one point, Officer Lisa Bender told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Officers are are assisting with traffic in the 3300 block of Piedmont Road, according to police.

The road way reopened about 2:38 p.m.
