Nov 11, 2019

A Roswell man was killed Monday afternoon in a two-car wreck on I-75 in Butts County that affected traffic for hours, authorities said.

The crash, which happened just before 1 p.m., blocked all northbound lanes at Ga. 36 for more than an hour, with one lane reopening about 3:45 p.m., according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. Just before 5:30 p.m., all lanes reopened.

Laquon Hill was driving in the right lane, according to the Georgia State Patrol, but left the roadway and struck another vehicle that was parked on the right shoulder.

Hill, 31, was killed in the crash. No condition was given for those in the other car.

The GSP said Hill was not wearing a seat belt. An investigation is ongoing.

No other details were released.
