Traffic stacked up for hours on the Perimeter after a tractor-trailer crash blocked all lanes on I-285 East near Jonesboro Road in Fulton County on Wednesday evening.

The crash happened just before 6 p.m. on the Perimeter’s outer loop, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center. All lanes of I-285 East were blocked and remained closed for multiple hours.

One eastbound lane was temporarily reopened around 6:30 p.m., but was closed shortly after as the truck was moved from the travel lanes.

The interstate was reopened around 7:45 p.m., though delays remained in both directions for nearly an hour.

No information has been released about the circumstances of the crash or the condition of the driver.
