Southbound lanes of Ga. 400 in Forsyth County have reopened after a tractor-trailer carrying scrap metal overturned, spilling debris across the highway and blocking it for two hours Friday morning.

The crash occurred shortly before 10 a.m. just north of the McFarland Parkway exit, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said minor injuries were reported, but no additional details about the wreck have been released. The truck was overturned across all three lanes for a time.

All southbound traffic was diverted onto Ga. 141 at exit 13. Drivers were urged to avoid the area and use Ga. 9 as an alternate route into Alpharetta.

Traffic started flowing again just before noon.
