Q: I read your article about the No Call list, but how do you report these calls?

— Linda Johnson, Suwanee

A: To file a complaint, go to donotcall.gov and click the area labeled "Submit a Complaint." Follow the directions. You can add your phone number to the National Do Not Call Registry or verify you've registered by calling 888-382-1222 or by filling out the online form at donotcall.gov. Placing a number on the National Do Not Call Registry doesn't stop all calls. Political organizations, charities and telephone surveyors "would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you've provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls," according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
