Q: During the power outage that shut down the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport terminal on Dec. 17, the underground trains between concourses were also unable to function. How did the passengers get off the trains and back into the main walkways?

—Don Nanney, Peachtree Corners

A: Plane train operators noticed there was power interference and decided to keep train carriages parked at each station, Reese McCranie, an airport spokesman, told Q&A on the News via email.

“As a result, passengers on the plane train were not stuck in between stations and were able to move freely,” he wrote.
