The Dolly Parton Challenge has everyone posting their best angles

The Dolly Parton Challenge has become one of the first viral challenges of the year

Dolly Parton Is Planning to Make a Film About 'I Will Always Love You' The country music legend has vowed to make a film based on her mega-hit if her Netflix anthology series is successful. 'Heartstrings' plays out eight of Dolly's iconic songs into mini-movies for the streaming giant. The song was made famous by Whitney Houston after Elvis Presley wanted to record it. Country music legend Dolly Parton posted a seemingly innocuous Twitter post on Tuesday that has now sparked one of the first viral social media challenges of 2020.

The Tuesday afternoon post showed the singer dressed and posing in various ways in a four-image collage. Each photo purportedly showed how the 74-year-old would present on four major social media sites: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and Tinder. The post was captioned “Get you a woman who can do it all” along with a winking emoji. The post has since been retweeted more than 31,000 times and the post’s likes have exceeded 215,000.

Apparently, the Tennessee native’s combination of campy and trendy appealed to not only her legion of fans but the social media magnates looking for pretty much any reason to post multiple photos of themselves. (Think: Last year’s Decade Challenge.)

As challenges do, someone came up with the bright idea to post their own photos in the same style as Parton and dub their post #dollypartonchallenge. The rest is social media history.

Many spoke to the “9-to-5” star’s sentiment of being able to “do everything” as their inspiration to join the challenge.

The challenge also sparked the interest of fellow celebrities including Debbie Allen, Pee-wee Herman and Robin Roberts.
