The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has launched Politically Georgia, a new subscriber digital product and premium newsletter with Georgia political news.

Politically Georgia brings readers in-depth reporting on elections, health care, immigration and the economy, along with opinion pieces and columns.

“We are increasing our commitment to bring Georgians essential information about what’s really going on in our state,” said Kevin Riley, editor of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “No news organization devotes more resources to covering Georgia politics than the AJC, and Politically Georgia will offer unmatched insight.”

Features also include a Legislative Navigator to track legislation and lawmakers; Voices, curated opinion writing from around the state; PolitiFact, with articles fact-checking statements by political leaders; and Take Action, a resource to contact lawmakers.

“It is one-stop shopping for readers throughout the state who are interested in Georgia-focused political news,” said Susan Potter, the AJC’s senior editor for state government and politics. “Whether you follow the news to become a more informed citizen, to give you an edge at work, or because you live and breathe politics, we want to make it easy for you to find everything a politically engaged reader needs.”

Greg Bluestein, one of about 10 AJC political reporters and columnists whose work is being featured, said, “There’s nothing that affects the lives of Georgians more than their state and local governments.”

All AJC subscribers have access to Politically Georgia content included with current print and digital subscriptions. A 90 day free trial is also available through politicallygeorgia.com. The price after the trial will be $3.99 a month.
