The long holiday weekend will culminate with dry, yet cloudy-covered skies and another day of tepid temps.

The low in Atlanta is expected to drop to 40 overnight, but the brunch crowd should enjoy a high nearing 60 degrees, followed by another cool evening. The low will dip down to 35 degrees by Monday morning, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Eboni Deon.

Outdoor activities may be the best option — with no chance of rain on the horizon — including hanging up the holiday lights and decor, Deon said.

The holiday lights are already a festive attraction across the state, with shows like the Garden Lights, Holiday Nights at the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Illuminights at Zoo Atlanta.

Clouds are expected early in the day but should clear out as a cold front moves through the state on Sunday, Deon said.

Cyber Monday means online shopping, but those heading out for shopping or other activities can expect crisp conditions outdoors. The week begins with a high in the mid-50s and lows in the mid-30s.

No rain is expected for the next few days.

That’s good news for travelers that hit Georgia for the holidays. Visitors driving back home Sunday can expect some delays as the roadways fill up once again. Because it’s a holiday weekend, the delays won’t be due to road closure from maintenance, though.

Georgia Department of Transportation suspended lane closures on interstates and state routes until 10 p.m. Sunday.

In Brookhaven, crews will start hanging up Christmas-themed banners Monday on utility poles on Buford Highway and North Druid Hills, Lavista and Peachtree roads.
