Five men were arrested early Tuesday following a head-on collision between a stolen Porsche SUV and a Sandy Springs patrol car, police said.

The Sandy Springs Police Department shared video of the collision and subsequent foot of the suspects on its Facebook page. According to the post, four of the men were captured immediately and officers pursued one man on foot, arresting him after a brief chase.

No officers were injured in the collision.

The five men who were arrested were identified by Sandy Springs police as Atif Hereford, 23; Jariquez Hall, 21; Demarquez Hall, 23; Darnell Pressley, 23; and Horace Parks, 17.

All of the men are from Atlanta except Pressley, who lives in Forsyth County, jail records show. The suspects face a variety of charges, including theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, fleeing to elude, obstruction and more.

According to police, the incident began when Sandy Springs officers patrolling an area near the intersection of Brandon Mill and Dalrymple roads spotted a 2012 Porsche Cayenne that had been reported stolen. The officers attempted to make a traffic stop on the Porsche, but it fled. The video shows the Porsche driving down a two-lane road that splits into a fork, following the road to the right, then veering back across the gore in a last-second attempt to go left instead. When the Porsche veered left, it hit the front of another Sandy Springs police car at an angle. The collision disabled the Porsche, allowing officers to take the SUV’s occupants into custody, police said.

Inside the Porsche, police found two stolen guns, ski masks, tools and several other stolen items, leading investigators Sandy Springs to charge the suspects in several other car break-ins, authorities said. Two of the men charged had outstanding warrants for similar crimes, police said.

All five were booked into the Fulton County Jail where they remain without bond.
