President Donald Trump urged voters yet again to back Republican Karen Handel's campaign for Georgia's 6th District, sending a tweet early Tuesday that she will "never give up" an hour before the polls open.

“KAREN HANDEL FOR CONGRESS,” read his tweet. “She will fight for lower taxes, great healthcare strong security-a hard worker who will never give up! VOTE TODAY.”

He also claimed Ossoff “wants to raise your taxes to the highest level and is weak on crime and security” in a separate post. Ossoff has never called for raising taxes and called similar previois attacks “misinformed.”

The tweets were his latest effort to help Handel defeat Democrat Jon Ossoff in Tuesday's nationally-watched contest to represent the suburban Atlanta district. He's held a fundraiser for her and recorded robocalls and sent other tweets slamming Ossoff.

Handel has embraced Trump and his major policies, saying she supports the president but that she won’t be an “extension” of his White House.

Trump is at the center of Tuesday's vote to represent the district. His struggles in the conservative-leaning territory - he only narrowly carried the district in November - have given Ossoff an opening in the contest.

And he has used a message that he will "stand up" to the president to shatter fundraising records in the most expensive U.S. House contest in history.
