Live from the Georgia State Capitol: It's Sine Die 2016

Feb. 29, 2016 - Atlanta - Representatives vote on one of numerous bills that came up for a vote. Many key bills come up for last-chance votes Monday on crossover day at the Capitol. Crossover Day is the final day for a bill to move from one chamber to the other this year. Although there are ways around the rule, only a few bills each year successfully defy Crossover Day's deadline. BOB ANDRES / BANDRES@AJC.COM

House Speaker David Ralston, R-Blue Ridge and Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle officially called to order their respective chambers shortly after 10 a.m. today. And Sine Die 2016 has been off and running ever since.

Atlanta Journal-Constitution House reporter, Aaron Gould Sheinin and Senate reporter Kristina Torres go over what’s ahead today, this afternoon, this evening and much later tonight.

In the video below, they highlight the shenanigans we've already seen. Like a lawmaker in a Donald Trump mask.

Sheinin and Torres breakdown what we can expect to see as the day unfolds, including a visit to both chambers from Gov. Nathan Deal.

They also dish on their favorite moments from past Sine Dies under the Gold Dome.
