Retired Atlanta Braves legend Chipper Jones will appear and be honored by the Georgia House next week, under a resolution approved Friday.

Jones, who retired from baseball in 2012, is scheduled to be in the Gold Dome on Tuesday. Rep. Sam Teasley, R-Marietta, sponsored the resolution.

Jones finished his career with a .303 batting average, 468 home runs and 1,623 RBI and is considered a lock to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
