Two sisters were killed in a Saturday morning fire at their Carroll County home.

Carroll County Coroner Sam Eady told Channel 2 Action News that both women — whose identities were not released — were killed after a fire broke out around 5 a.m. Saturday inside their home on Old Draketown Road near Villa Rica. The fire started in the kitchen, officials said.

The cause remained under investigation but was not considered suspicious.

The sisters were on opposite ends of the home when the blaze broke out, Eady said.

No further information was immediately available.
