A Chicago-based primary care provider recently opened four new health clinics in metro Atlanta, including two in DeKalb County.

VillageMD opened new locations of its Village Medical clinics at 465 Winn Way, Suite 100, near Decatur and 2745 DeKalb Medical Parkway, Suite 200, near Lithonia on Monday, according to a news release. The company also opened two new health clinics in Forsyth County on the same day.

The clinics continue VillageMD’s expansion in the metro Atlanta healthcare market, which began in November. The company’s first health clinic opened in unincorporated Stone Mountain near the DeKalb-Gwinnett county line.

VillageMD said it anticipates opening 10 health clinics in metro Atlanta, and it’s currently halfway to that goal. The fast-growing healthcare company has 40 health clinics across the country, including several locations in Austin, Houston, Phoenix and Murray, Ky.

The clinics offer several physician services, including illness and injury treatment, preventative care and chronic condition management. In addition, Village Medical offers 24/7 access through telehealth and virtual care options, the release said. Same-day appointments and virtual health visits are also available.

Dr. Clyde Watkins is in charge of the two DeKalb-based Village Medical locations, while Dr. James Morrow leads the Forsyth County clinics. The Forsyth County health clinics are located at 3790 Deputy Bill Cantrell Memorial Road, Suite 150, near Cumming and 12970 Ga. 9 in Milton.
