Officials have recovered the body of a man who had been missing after his boat capsized in the Savannah River.

According to WJCL, the body of Charles Bradford Keiffer, 42, of Hardeeville, South Carolina, was discovered Wednesday morning by barge workers, who contacted the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

The boat capsized Saturday evening near the Colonial Oil Dock, located along the Savannah riverfront, according to WTOC.

According to a GoFundMe organized for the family, Keiffer, his wife and their 5-year-old son were on the boat when the accident happened. The wife and son were rescued a short time later. His wife is hospitalized with a hip injury, is set to have surgery and faces many months of recovery.

Crew members aboard the Hampton Roads Dredge rescued the woman and child from the river, according to the U.S. Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit. Savannah Fire administered aid to the rescued woman and child after Chatham Marine Patrol transported them to a vessel at Savannah Fire’s dock.

The child was transported to a nearby hospital, according to Chuck Kearns, chief of Chatham Emergency Services. The woman and child were in good condition, according to a tweet from the U.S. Coast Guard.
