Power worker killed by tree on Ga. 400

A power worker was killed by a tree Wednesday afternoon in Lumpkin County.
The tree fell on a Sawnee EMC employee along Ga. 400 on the south side of the county, Channel 2 Action News reported. The worker’s name was not released.
A crew was working near Whelchel Road when the tree hit the worker, officials said.
A portion of Ga. 400 was temporarily closed during the investigation.
