Less than two years after Popeyes introduced its first chicken sandwich to the world, the company appears to have quietly debuted a new Blackened Chicken Sandwich in select markets.

According to ChewBoom, the new sandwich comes in classic and spicy varieties served on brioche buns with non-breaded, blackened chicken breast, pickles and mayonnaise.

The sandwich can be found on Popeyes’ website, but no description is provided.

A Popeyes representative confirmed to Fox 59 that its Blackened Chicken Sandwich is available in select markets only but did not disclose where those markets were located, or whether a national rollout will follow.

Popeyes also introduced its Cajun Flounder Sandwich in February.
