Kelvin McDuffie’s family say they don’t understand why anyone would hurt the 25-year-old University of Georgia student.

He had overcome his own mother’s arrest to become an Army Reservist with a dream of opening a restaurant.

But someone shot McDuffie and left his body in a remote area of Athens-Clarke County. And nearly 14 years later, police say they still haven't solved the crime.

"As cold cases go, it's as cold as they come," Epifanio Rodriguez, public information officer for Athens-Clarke County Police Department, told The Atlanta Journal-

Constitution.
