Gun control will be boon for bad guys
Recent talk of gun control only makes sense if you ask one question. Who will profit?
When any government bans anything, a black market is created. Look back to the prohibition of alcohol.
Only the bad guys had access to alcohol, and crime escalated dramatically. Elected officials were given cash rewards and bad cops were given payoffs for the criminals running the black markets. Plus no taxes were paid.
Those that want gun control are not going to take guns away from the drug cartels, or human smugglers, or criminals.
They just want you to not have guns, or pay extreme prices for one. Go back and look at the outcome of alcohol prohibition and the war on drugs. Both actions by government have destroyed more lives than a gun ever did.

Trump’s proposal hearkens back to dark ideas
On June 15, Donald Trump was appropriately welcomed to the state of “Guns, God and Football” by Coach Vince Dooley.
No one could accuse Donald Trump of being a history buff, but his ideas are not new. His plan for government inspection of Mosques — “respectfully” — harkens back to the position of the Georgia legislature of 100 years ago when the “Convent Inspection Act” was passed at a time of blatant anti-Catholic rhetoric led by Georgia Sen. Tom Watson. Watson also contributed to the anti-Jewish feelings shown at the time of the Leo Frank trial and his eventual lynching by a mob.
Watson earned a statue on the state capitol grounds, only recently removed. Times do change, we hope.
