Typically, Southern leaders claim union representation deters business recruitment and job growth. These days, there's concern the United Auto Workers might have inroads to a Volkswagen assembly plant in Chattanooga. In today's articles, a state chamber official predicts the failure of unionization in the South, while the AFL-CIO president foresees a new dawn in the region's labor relations.
