Today’s moderator: Tom Sabulis
A 20-year veteran of the AJC, Tom Sabulis has covered news, politics and the arts during a career that has taken him to newspapers across the country. Since 2008, he has coordinated many of the newspaper’s pro/con debates and first-person guest columns.
The General Assembly is discussing a bill that would allow guns to be carried on school campuses and in churches. Today, a local theologian criticizes such a law, saying it would harm the sanctity of churches, synagogues and mosques; while a gun-rights advocate argues that it would enable individuals to protect themselves against criminals intent on slaughtering people in public places.
