BRYANT, Joseph Donald
Joseph Donald (Don) Bryant, age 88, passed away on May 18, 2021. Don was born on June 21, 1932, in Redan, Georgia. Don graduated from Clarkston High School in 1949 during which time he met his forever love Sue Goddard. Don was active in residential development for over 60 years and built over 3,300 single family homes and 1,040 multifamily units, including three golf courses in DeKalb, Gwinnett and Fulton counties. Love of sports was Don's favorite pastime. If there was a ballgame you could expect Don to be there. Don's faith was a sustaining force in his life. A long time member of Braircluff Methodist Church, Don helped build the recreation building and gymnasium. Don was predeceased by his parents JessieThomas and Annie Lee Bryant; his sisters Frances Giles, and Jean Burrell; and brother Bill Bryant. Don is survived by his wife of 70 years, Sue; his sister Peggy Sheppard (Walter); sister-in-law Martha Bryant (Bill); his daughter Donna Bryant Minor (Bob); grandson Scott Minor (Robin); great-grandchidren Andrew and Luke Minor; plus a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Zion Baptist Church, Stone Mountain, Georgia.
