A zombie-themed nativity scene is roiling religious groups and city officials in Ohio, again.
Jasen and Amanda Dixon installed the manger, complete with zombie Jesus and wise men, in the front yard of their Cincinnati home for a second year.

They documented the construction of the manger scene and subsequent issues with zoning officials and religious groups on the Zombie nativity scene Facebook page.
Their permit to construct the display was denied by zoning officials, and the Dixons could face a $500 a day fine for keeping the structure in their front yard.
An opponent of the nativity left a letter in zombie Jesus’s bed titled, “God frowns upon this manger scene.”
Sorry to my Baptist friends, they don't have much of a sense of humor. But thanks Frank Russell and Kyle Reynolds. For spending time and handing letters out on my street.

The Dixons have set up a crowd funding account to help pay for legal fees related to keeping up the display and for improving it for next year. Other money will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Dixon said to The New York Daily News.
