Young man loses bet, gets taped to traffic sign

Drivers traveling in Houston on Wednesday called authorities after spotting a young man that was taped to a yield sign with his feet dangling more than a foot from the ground.

The young man was identified by KHOU as Miguel Chavez. The news station reported Chavez lost a bet made on Tuesday's basketball game between the Houston Rockets and the Golden Gate Warriors.

Chavez and his friends posted videos of the process that left him taped to the traffic sign on social media. As Chavez stands on a stool, two young men circle around him with duct tape, leaving one hand free for his phone, until he is secure.

The video later cuts to show authorities arriving to check on Chavez.

Authorities freed the young man and gave him a ride home, KHOU reported.
