The idea behind the little library concept is as simple as "leave one, take one." That's also how the "Free Blockbuster" box works, according to the VHS and CHILL Facebook page. They are the group who created OKC's new box.

The group said the box was created by first buying an old newspaper stand, painting it and adding the "Free Blockbuster" logo, available online. They said the idea started with another group in California.

VHS and CHILL is an OKC-based group that hosts VHS themed movie events. They host regular screenings at the Paramount Screening Room and Rodeo Cinema.

Six soldiers were honored, each receiving Meritorious Service Medals, Thursday for heroic actions responding to the shooting at Fort Stewart. “One of the things I can say unequivocally is that the fast action of these soldiers — under stress and under trauma and under fire — absolutely saved lives from being lost,” U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll told reporters as the six soldiers stood near him Thursday. “They are everything that is good about this nation.” (Hyosub Shin/AJC)
