L'Oreal Paris has a new spokeswoman -- and she's an Oscar-winning actress.

The Cut reported that Viola Davis, 54, is the new face of the makeup brand.

"It feels surreal," Davis told People. "First of all, and you can take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt, I never thought that I could be an international spokesperson for L'Oréal. The fact that I am, it feels like my life has come full circle."

L'Oreal previously had deals with Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez. Davis joins current ambassadors Eva Longoria, Helen Mirren, Celine Dion, Aja Naomi King and Camila Cabello.

"As a young girl, I wasn’t always told that I was smart, beautiful, or worthy,” Davis said in a statement. "I worked tremendously hard to get where I am today -- overcoming feelings of doubt to become a woman who truly believes I am ‘worth it’ in every way. I believe it’s so important to build confidence in women from a young age and to role-model diverse perspectives of beauty. To now be part of a brand that has been championing women’s worth for more than 40 years and to use my voice to help empower others is truly surreal.”

Essence reported that Davis will appear in print, digital and TV marketing campaigns for the brand's Age Perfect skin care line. Past celeb ambassadors for the line include Susan Sarandon and Diane Keaton.

"We are thrilled to welcome Viola as a member of our family," global brand president for L'Oréal Paris, Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, said in a statement. "Viola's tenacity, authenticity and bold spirit resonate with and inspire so many people."
