A judge has set a $40,000 bond for a Florida woman authorities say illegally injected toxic substances to enhance women's buttocks.

During a court appearance Friday, Oneal Ron Morris said she couldn't afford the bond and would remain in jail where she faces trial in seven separate cases. The charges include manslaughter in the death of a woman who authorities say paid Morris $2,000 for injections.

Morris has pleaded not guilty. She is being held in a special jail unit for protection.

Morris, who police say was born a man and identifies as a woman, was arrested on similar charges in Miami-Dade County and transferred to Broward in November.

Authorities say Morris injected flat-tire sealant, glue, caulk and cement into women's buttocks. Three victims suffered medical complications and infections.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel (http://tinyurl.com/mh8yxuo) reports Morris told the judge she is not a danger to society.
