In 2017, nearly anything posted on the internet can take a turn into the latest meme. Since President Donald Trump took office earlier this year, his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been vandalized multiple times, according to CNN. So last week, when Makenna Greenwald tweeted photos of herself wiping off stains and smiling next to the clean star, Twitter users responded with an avalanche of memes.

The original tweet was retweeted more than 50,000 times and received nearly a quarter of a million likes. Trump’s son, Eric Trump, even quote-tweeted her to say thanks. Shortly after, Twitter users began using Greenwald’s words and posting their own versions using stars from all over the tourist site.
