Authorities are investigating after a woman was shot as she was leaving Kennywood Park Saturday night, according to police.
A 26-year-old woman was shot in the upper chest near the shoulder around 10 p.m., police said. She is in stable condition at an area hospital.
Chris Salerno, a Kennywood spokesperson, said the park was closing after a Fourth of July fireworks show when the shooting happened. Most patrons had already left the park.
"We do not believe, at this point, that the shot was fired within the park. There's a number of witnesses in the area, there's video surveillance in the area, and nothing indicates that there was a gun in the park or that the shot was fired within the park," said Detective Andrew Schurman.

No arrests have been made. A police search for the shooter in the surrounding area of the park turned up nothing.
Police said witnesses who were interviewed did not report hearing or seeing a gunshot. Surveillance footage reviewed has not shown any gunfire.
There are no indications that the woman shot was targeted, according to police.
Anyone who heard or saw anything is asked to call Allegheny County Police at 412-473-1300.
In May, a large fight involving dozens of young people occurred at Kennywood on opening day, forcing the park to close early.
