The old joke has gotten a rewrite.

So why did the chicken wear a reflective vest?

A flock of chickens, which roost at a Scottish bed and breakfast, have been outfitted with the reflective safety vests so they don't get tenderized by a car as the fowl cross the road, Inside Edition reported.

Owners of Glenshieling House put the vests on their chicken residents to keep them safe. Now people are flocking to the internet to see the sight of the dressed chickens.

Louise Lennox told Inside Edition that she found the chicken-specific wardrobe online for her Glenshieling Girls.

The chickens were brought to the property when Lennox and her husband decided to build a coop so their bed and breakfast guests can have fresh eggs, Inside Edition reported. The chickens then became one of the amenities of the property as they've adjusted to the guests and the guests have adjusted to the feathered friends.
