Canada made history in 2015 when it openly accepted Syrian refugees during a mass exodus.

The economic impact of the move won't officially be known for a few years from now, but culturally, it has been a success.

Take, for example, a video of Syrian children playing in snow for the first time.

In it, three siblings, ages 9-13, toboggan down a hill (while equipped with selfie sticks, of course).

In the comment, their host father, who is a local policeman, said, "Snow is a new experience but fun in any language looks the same."
