The United States Coast Guard rescued a man off the coast of St. Augustine, Florida, who was in an inflatable hydro bubble.
The man, Reza Baluchi, was 70 nautical miles – about 80.5 miles – east of St. Augustine.
The Coast Guard said they began monitoring the man Wednesday after he refused to leave the hydro bubble. They said he said he was disoriented and asked for directions to Bermuda.
Saturday the Coast Guard said he signaled for help.
The man was taken by helicopter to Clearwater. There were no reports of any injuries.
